Our Process

The process begins with your school tour to visit our school. Following your tour and meeting at our school we invite you to observe one of our classrooms to see how our Montessori instructors interact with our students. You’ll notice how well the children interact and self-direct their activities, sharing with others and learning at their own pace.

Step 1. Schedule a Tour or come to an Open House
We appreciate your interest in our school and look forward to connecting with you! Call us at 404-474-6375, Email, or click above to schedule a tour.

We love giving parents the opportunity to explore our beautiful 2+ acre campus. Tours also give you the unique ability to see the Montessori method at work! Each tour, led by a school administrator, is about an hour long and gives you a full overview of all of our programs.

Step 2. Application and Interview
Prospective families are welcome to apply online. There is an $80 non-refundable application fee due for each application submitted.

For prospective Primary and Elementary families, once your application has been received, we will contact you to schedule an interview with your child’s teacher. This visit is designed to allow your child to meet one of our Guides and visit a classroom where they will meet peers and engage in lessons and activities. It is also the perfect opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

Step 3. Deposit
Upon acceptance, a non-refundable deposit of $1000 is due in order to secure enrollment (based on availability). This deposit is deducted from the year’s tuition.

Wait-List Information:

If after applying, we do not have any classroom openings for your requested start date, you will be offered a place on our Wait-List. To secure a space on this list, there is a refundable deposit of $250. If and when a space opens , we will inform wait-listed families on a first-come, first-serve basis and offer the available space and start date. When a family accepts the offer, the $250 is refunded and the enrollment process resumes.

Applying for Financial Aid
Making it possible for ALL families to attend IMA
International Montessori Academy values all forms of diversity, including socioeconomic diversity, as a means of enriching the learning environment for all students. Limited, need-based tuition assistance is available each year for eligible students. We’ve partnered with School and Student Services (SSS) to assist with determining the distribution of Apogee Scholarship funds for financial aid. To begin your financial aid application, you will complete the SSS Parents’ Financial Statement or PFS. School and Student Services charges a non-refundable

$49 processing fee for this service.

The Financial Aid application deadline is March 15, 2022, for the

2021-22 academic school year.

Who is Eligible for an Apogee Scholarship?

The State has defined eligible children as those who are able to enroll in a GA-qualified (public) school Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 1st Grade program. Students who are currently enrolled at GA public school also qualify. From 2nd grade and beyond, Apogee policy requires that a student must have attended at least 45 days of public school in order to be considered eligible. Once a student receives an Apogee scholarship, they remain eligible for the balance of their education through 12th grade.

Eligibility requirements criteria are (any one of the following:)

Eligible to enroll in a public Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 1st Grade or …

Coming from a public school to a private school for the first time or …

Coming from a home-school (1 year min) or charter school environment for the first time or …

Previously received an SSO Scholarship or …

Attended a minimum of 45 days of the public school prior to enrolling at a qualified private school

Has evidence of a documented case of bullying in the public school system

Districted for a failing public school as defined by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement

What is the PFS?

The PFS is a comprehensive application that will take some time to complete. You’ll need your most recent tax return materials before beginning the PFS. We also recommend that you review the wide range of materials that SSS has put together to help families with the financial aid process. They can be found at http://sssbynais.org/parents.

How to complete the Parents’ Financial Statement Online:

After you have clicked submit, you’ll be brought to a payment screen. School and Student Services charge a non-refundable $49 processing fee for this service. Once your PFS is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn from the SSS system.

Key Information you need to know about our school as you prepare to complete the PFS:
